Anyone know where I can find mac os 7.6? I have been told this would be the best version to run on my power mac 5500/225 for performance reasons. Does anyone agree with this?

You could run OS 8 or 9 pretty well as well.

I have the same mac and found the 8.0 update disc at a market for a couple of $ then I updated to 8.6 and it runs fine. You should up the ram too if you can. I love the SRS sound in this mac!
