I installed xp with bootcamp and somehow windows was made into my default OS. In order to boot mac i have to hold the option key at start up to change. Is there a way i can make os x default again? Help is greatly Appreciated

in WinXP: Start, Settings, Control panel : > Startup Disk, then select the OS X drive.

in OS X: Apple Button (Top left), System Preferences. Startup Disk, Select Windows/ OS X respectively.

If the Startup Disk icon doesn't show, reinstall your Mac driver disk in WinXP and/or reinstall bootcamp for OS X. But they should be there.
