I need a program that can make a backup image of my hard drive, because I have a bad feeling my hard drive is going to die at any time. I am trying to back up my 250Gb internal to my 300Gb external, so I can restore my internal hard drive if I have to replace it, and I need to be able to boot from the external drive, so is like booting from my dieing internal. So one PLEASE help.

SuperDuper or Carboncopycloner can do this.

Both are free to use, but SuperDuper! has additional features you can pay to unlock.
