Hello! Desperately trying to find the Final Cut Pro 3.0.2 update for Final Cut Pro 3 for OS9. The old machine we had it running on just had an HD failure and we are rebuilding it, but didn't realize that Apple had thrown out all OS9 updates. Does ANYBODY still have this little file (under 10MB)?? It was called:

FCP302RTL.smi.bin

Thanks SOOOO Much for any help anybody can offer. This old machine is still proving very useful and we hope to keep it that way!!!

Even old machines require backing up.

We have kept most every saved, but OS9 never really had a good backup system - especially with newer software (can't drag-n-drop programs like FCP3). Apple has always been pretty good about keeping updates available, so we didn't think too much about that part, but I guess it is getting to be time to force users to upgrade, as the the CS person on the phone told me that they are no longer hosting any updates for systems before Snow Leopard!

Maybe this will help:-

Final Cut Pro 3.0.2 for Mac OS 9: Information and Download

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
