I migrated Win7pro over to iMac w/o including docs/pics/music, etc because I had already copied to Mac. My PC laptop had 3 partitions: C: , D: (all documents) & E: (recovery) for a total of 320 GIG. All I want on my Mac is the C: How do I/Can I delete or get rid of the other partitions showing each time I view devices

You say you migrated Windows 7 to Parallels? Did you originally have Windows 7 running as dual boot using Boot Camp and then chose to use the Boot Camp partition as a virtual machine from Parallels?
I'm trying to understand how you have three Windows 7 partitions in a Parallels VM? |

I feel rather silly at this time. Since I posted my question, I realized those partitions listed were just virtual drives for each of partitions of the laptop computer I migrated to Mac. When they were first there, they appeared to occupy real disk space, which concerned me, knowing I would not use all that space for Windows applications. I didn't just want to delete and find myself in worse shape than before. I have 'un-mounted' the drives and now all looks normal. Until I get fully used to the Mac, I am afraid I will continue to have questions that may or may not be valid. Thank you for your time. |
