I plan on partitioning my hardrive for windows, but i was wondering what was the best way of installing windows? Since I am a student I'm pretty sure i get a nice discount from microsoft.
Is it necessary to have a physical disc of windows or is there some way to buy it straight from the internet to use in bootcamp? Sorry for my ignorance ^.^ Thanks |

I'm pretty sure you can purchase it online, download the ISO, & then use Disk Utility to either burn it to a DVD or "restore" it to a USB drive, just like a DMG...
For my purposes as an engineering undergraduate; Windows is respectable (& generally necessary), Linux is admirable (& often useful), OS X is enjoyable (& requires no further justification, although plenty could be given)! |
