...which is less than the 3.5-4GB limit of 32-bit OSes? Would installing a 64-bit OS be beneficial, inconsequential, or a downright hindrance to the proper functioning of the computer?
*Note: The computer in question does have a 64-bit processor, but the motherboard maxes-out at the currently-installed 3GB. Cheers for any insight
For my purposes as an engineering undergraduate; Windows is respectable (& generally necessary), Linux is admirable (& often useful), OS X is enjoyable (& requires no further justification, although plenty could be given)! |
