I have a Macbook Pro with 3 partitions HD :Osx last version Win7 on bootcamp and a Data partition (Mac journal)
I bought an ext HD and divided in 3 partitions also in order to backup each one separetely but I have problem with the Data one being formated Mac journal Being in Mac partition my Data partition does not show up and I don't understand why, the other two are. Would the order they were entered in makes a difference. They are in sequence Mac, Win 7 and Data as on my HD How to make all this practical? Please help Macbook Pro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB Osx 10.6.7 Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on bootcamp |

I did tried to change the Data partition file system to FAT 32 on the ext HD. It makes the Data partition available to backup but of course an error message shows when I want to transfer the Data partition on my actual HD to it. Of course because the file system is different Mac to Fat32. So I am still stucked not being able to backup my Data partition and also surprised no expert came to the rescue. But still hoping....

Why do you need three partitions on the drive anyway? |

I was suspecting that was the problem the order on the HD. Is there a safe and simple way of moving the order around as you suggest thanks in advance Macbook Pro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB Osx 10.6.7 Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on bootcamp |
