I have been looking at various forums and the general consensus is that to use the windows 7 iso with bootcamp you must
1. burn it to a dvd 2. make a bootable usb. The problem is that my macbook pro's optical drive is broken so it can't read dvd's and most programs that create a bootable usb are for windows. Suggestions? |

G'day and welcome to the forums.
Get a new Superdrive either internal or external, preferably the internal which will be bootable. MacBooks and iMacs do seem to go through an unusally high number of optical drives. Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
