Anyone have a link for a general list of commands for openSUSE's Terminal?
example: list files and folders, read and write rights, etc.

OpenSuSe, Ubuntu, and so forth use standard Linux BASH commands in the terminal. Go here for a complete listing.

If you need more info on commands, don't forget to check the man pages. For instance, if I wanted more info on the options for ls, I would simply enter "man ls" (without the quotes of course). Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate the page and when you're done reading the page, simply press q to exit.

Yea thats more of what I needed. Was trying to add a new user +home directory and password. Thanks Vansmith.

i have been trying to figure out how to exit man pages for a couple of days. i should have searched here. would have saved me some hair and time.

Glad I could help. If in doubt, q is the magic key to exit. For example, it works with less and vim's shortcut for quitting is :q.
