I am getting ready to buy a MBP. I need windows for very limited use. Mostly MS Office applications. I am not a gamer. Which would be a better choice, Parallel or Fusion 3. I did try to do a search but didn't find what I needed.

Thanks

You can download and try trial versions of both for free (if you have a copy of Windows handy). Also VirtualBox by Sun is free. For single installations of Windows, honestly the differences are mostly stylistic. With each release, one pulls ahead of the other slightly in different areas, and then it goes back the other way. VirtualBox is less full-featured than the other two but works great.

You should try all 3 and see which you like best.

Cheers

Same here. VMWare is more mature and stable, in my opinion.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
