i have a friend who wants to buy my Microsoft office off me, home and student 2007, it has licenses for 3 PC's but i cant remember how many i have used is there anyway to find out?

And weather there is a way to cancel a licence like the laptop i had office on for myself i have restored and sold so its no longer on there, so would i have that licence back or not?

Thank you for any advice.

I think the 3 PCs license would be handled by Microsoft's activation servers.

Either they record 3 or more activations (in which case you or the buyer will have to contact Microsoft to release an old activation), or the servers may detect 3 or more PCs running that license at one time and prevent a fourth copy from running

The info may be in the terms and conditions for that license
