Hi, I have a weird problem starting XP with boot camp.
My MacBook Pro decided for no reason whatsoever to blank the screen both on OS X and XP. Repeated restarts were no help. After some research on the web, I found out that this could be solved by resetting PVRAM and NVRAM and/or System Management Controller. Did both. It worked for OS X, which now boots fine, but XP still boots to a blank screen (and I can hear it finish booting - the Windows start chimes play, and the usual tray pop-ups). So it's not a problem where Windows freezes, it's more like the screen is in sleep mode. Brightness keys are also no help. Any ideas? Thanks. |
