I'm trying to get my old iBook G3 600 Dual USB up and running. I had to replace the original hard disk. I installed the retail OS 9.2.1 off CD and upgraded to 9.2.2. Everything works great except I have no graphics acceleration for some reason and window redraws drag badly.

At boot the little "flying screen icon" graphics acceleration extension has a red X over it when it loads. An ATI extension loads fine. I figure I'm missing an extension, I've looked all over the web and cannot find a standalone ATI graphics installer for the Mobile Rage 128 on OS 9 anywhere.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

QUOTE Thanks

Ended up going with OSX Tiger 10.4.11. Gives great performance on this machine with none of the headaches of Classic. OS9 days are long, long gone..
QUOTE Thanks
