Just so you know they have now come out with version 4.0. I have not upgraded from anything to 3.0. But I am currently running 3.0, it runs rather smoothly, and has never given me any problems. Just be sure to upgrade to the latest build some of the earlier builds of version 3.0 were buggy. But if I were upgrading right now I would probably go for version 4.0 instead better graphics support, and overall speed.

My Parallels 3 was running fine until the latest 3.x update. Now when I run Windows Update on the VM the display get's a static interference like a poorly tuned television, the sound card starts buzzing like there is RF interference and all input methods fair. I end up having to shut the system down via holding the power button. Very odd as 3.x has always been extremely stable for me.

I was going to upgrade to version 4.0 until I read a number of posts on the Parallels forum from people that encountered a number of issues with the upgrade. A few are asking for refunds.

Strange, the new VMWARE Fusion 2.0 is riddled with issues and now the new version of Parallels. Are they in such a hurry to release that QA becomes a last priority?
