I am making my Second trip to the Apple Store, this week. My first time I had to pickup a DVI to HDMI cable for my monitor, but now, I am looking at buying a Mighty Mouse. I was looking at the wireless one, is it Blue tooth, and AA powered? Or is wired the way to go? I'd be doing mainly basic browsing, probably no to minimal gaming, and Web Design/Photo shopping.

Also, what cleans scratches off the MacBook cover, I have some scratches, nothing to noticeable, but just wondering.

Any other things I should check out?

Thanks.

The Wireless Mighty Mouse is Bluetooth. There is nothing special about it except the price! If you are willing to spend $70 on it, then get it. I did. Just don't cry when it brakes and the warranty doesn't cover it. Luckily my friend at the Apple store hooked me up and fixed it for me.

You can try the Mr.Clean magic erasers. That's what I use on my MacBook Pro and my moms MB.

If you don't want to spend $70 for the wireless one, then yea, get the $50 wired one.

My choice would be to get the wireless one.

EDIT:
It takes AA batteries. It comes with a set already to use. Really nice Energizers, not some off-brand. I've had mine for over a month and it still shows a full charge! The wireless one I had before this I had to charge every day.

You don't want to use the Magic Eraser on the shell of your computer. It is a mild abrasive. It will add scratches to shiny plastic. However, it works great on the inside to clean your wrist rests, trackpad and keyboard.

I have the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse and the wired version. Obviously they work the same. The Bluetooth is nice because it's wireless. It has a good weight because of the batteries. It feels more substantial in your hand, which I like.

The wired is nice because it's cheaper. That's about it.

A fair warning... Most people either love or hate the Mighty Mouse. I would be sure to check one out at the Apple Store before dropping the money on it. Spend some time actually using it.

Pretty much any mouse will work with your Mac. Not all will use the Mac specific functions though. If you want to take advantage of all of the functions of the Mighty Mouse, be sure it is Mac compatible.

I would highly recommend the Logitech Revolution series. Most people consider them superior to the Mighty Mouse. They can be had for around the same money if you shop around.

I got a Logitech wired mouse for 16 bucks and it works fine. I got it because I got used to right clicking. I keep a wired mighty mouse as a spare.

Yeah, I have a cheap Logitech at work and it functions just fine. There is no need for a really expensive mouse for most people. Right click, left click and a scroll wheel is pretty much all I need.

Mr. Clean magic erasers work great but they will not remove scratches.

The biggest problem with the Mighty Mouse is the inconsistency of the right-click. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... without any real reason as to why. I still have mine, but don't use it - I have switched to a notebook sized Logitech V450. I've been using it for 9 months now with no hassles, still on the original batteries, too. The only downside is it's not bluetooth, but the USB receiver is tiny, barely an inch long and only as wide as a USB connector. It even has software from Logitech that gives you the side scroll options of the Mighty Mouse, along with fully customizable button assignments.

I had some small, minor scratches on my MBP from being in my back pack before I got a case on it and the eraser got them off. So idk. I guess it depends on the type of scratch.
