[OS X Server 10.3.5 / G5 xserve]
I thought OS X Server would allow an Admin to see hidden directories (var, etc, usr) but logging into my xserve (as admin) just shows me the standard 5-6 directories and keeps me locked out of directories I need to get into... only way is to log back in as root... but I didn't think running the box permanently logged in as root was a great idea. Shouldn't a server Admin be able to go into /var/cron and modify stuff without logging back in as root? |
