I am probably oing to look silly soon but I have just installed the Miglia TV Mini on my MacBookPro. Picture is great as I conected to the TV aerial via the co-ax cable.

I just can't get sound though.

The MBP sounds are working, volume set to almost max, but still no TV sound. I loked in the preferences and its not muted. Help please.

Is there a controller with a slider volume? Check that if you haven't already ... In EyeTV there's one that looks like this:

This may be a long shot but I think you need to check your MBPs audio settings are set to 44100.0Hz.

You check this in Audio MIDI Setup, which is in the Utilities folder (Command + U in Finder will launch this folder for you)

Look to the Properties For: and set it to Built-In Output and then check the Audio Output section.

Thanks Spawn Dooley. Check it it all looks fine. I have just found that I get sound from a TV channel e.g. Nine digital, but no sound if I go to another such as Nine HD (high Digital) Picture is perfect for both though.

Well that's a start ... did your unit come with one of those smallish aerials? Have you tried using that or are you in a bad reception area ... I know with my EyeTV unit, although I'm very near a transmitter and have a clear line of sight to it, the reception is temperamental at times ....

I sort of knew that your audio/midi settings would be fine but I had to ask just in case you had one of those apps installed that changes that setting without your knowledge. This itself has been know to have it's own set of inherent problems.

Hey Maddog,

Which software came with your device? EyeTV, The Tube or Miglia TV?
If it's The Tube, I might be able to help (I work for equinux).
