I've been scouring the 'net for a reasonably affordable Firewire 400 enclosure for a 2.5" SATA drive (just upgraded to a 7200 rpm drive in my MacBook). Unfortunately, the only drive I can find is the miniXpress. It looks like a very nice enclosure, but spending ~$100 for an enclosure for the old 80GB drive seems a bit silly (I paid less for my FireLite 80GB external).
Anyone have any leads on an affordable Firewire enclosure for 2.5" SATA drives? I'd rather not go with a USB 2.0 enclosure--my 5400 RPM FireLite on FW400 runs circles around my 3.5" 7200 RPM USB 2.0 drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
