Hi,
I bought a pack of brand new blank cd-r's recently and opened the packet and inserted one into the superdrive of my new iMac. When i inserted the disc it made a rattle sound and I started to panic. I then ejected the disc and found out that I accidentally left the plastic foil on (which was covering the top of the cd-r) Fortunately, to my relief the superdrive still works perfect but I am paranoid.... Could this plastic foil have caused damage to the superdrive (ie cause scratches and wear) ? or is it nothing to worry about and doesn't cause any damage? Cheers Artmuzz |
