Just bought a WD My Book that has USB and Ethernet connections. I bought it this way because I was trying to avoid getting a USB hub to have the printer share the port with the HDD on the Airport Extreme (last Gen- UFO) I cannot find the utility to recognize it. This is after I plugged it into the Imac itself.

The purpose for this is that I wanted a backup drive for the Imac and the Macbook to share on the wireless nexwork without a USB hub. Leopard is on the way for the iMac. Later for the Macbook.

How do I get the new drive recognized and running without call Apple Support?

Thanks for all help!

Christian
