iMac - Pro Mouse???

I've just noticed this little thing on my Pro Mouse. On the circle thing it changes to - 0 + , which one should I have it set on?

I have 2 Apple wireless mice one of the new ones with the scroll ball and one of the older ones without. The older one has the switch and on mine its set to +, the new mouse doesn't have the switch.
