Projector that can connect to a macbook

i'm doing a class presentation later on and i did it in keynote. i'm now seriously screwed.

i need to connect the macbook to the projector and i'm wondering if the cable will already be provided with the projector to connect to the macbook.

do i need to get an adapter? because i don't have one and its too late where i am to get it.
