I'm just wondering...How many people on this forum build computers, either Mac or PC? I realize that Macs are nowhere near as customizable as PCs, but they're still customizable, and people are able to build them from just bare parts. Heck, I even know someone who builds Macs (as opposed to the MANY people I know who have built PCs)! So, who here builds computers?

I don't do it for a living but I've built my own PC, a PC for my Brother-In-Law, a PC fo my Sister and a PC for 2 of my friends. I just switched to Mac/Apple a couple weeks ago so it will be a little while before I take on new projects on the Mac side. I did buy an old 233 MHz rev. A iMac and upgraded the VRAM, RAM and Hard Drive myself. As far as building from scratch, nope, not for a while.

Looking for a PowerMac G4 for $500 or less USD.

Used to build and sell PC's for a living until the market got so cut-throat. It's cheaper to buy them custom built from my suppliers now. I've also built several machines for myself and done various upgrades to macs.

Alright then, but just remember that I personally do know a guy (probably about 19 years old or at least close) who builds Macs, so it is definitely possible for people to do it.
