usb 2 for powerbook g4 help

i am very new to mac , can buy this powerbook ( cheaply from a pal if i can connect my large hard drive containing films ) I am very pleased with it even though i am finding it hard to follow after using a pc for years

I needed a usb 2 hub so purchased a belkin usb 2 card (f5u222vuk) it states windows and mac , the enclosed disc only contains win drivers . instruction book does not mention mac at all. when i place item in slot the mac sees what it is but doesn't indicate what to do with it . should it have a driver on board ? .

Can anyone help me , cause if i can get it to work i want to keep it as it does everything else
