Wireless Mouse Problem

So i have an old microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse 3000 that i used with my old laptop before i made the switch to my MBP but now when i try use the mouse i can't seem to make a connection. Any ideas why this is? Won't work in XP on Bootcamp either or even on another laptop. Thanks in advance.

Did you try installing the appropriate drivers for the mouse, if it exists?
