Can I get some help with a Monitor problem?

So my KDS USA model 17SX monitor just went dead the other day. The screen went black, and when I try to power it on the green power button just blinks and blinks.. How can I find out if I just need to replace the external power supply, or if its something worse? Anybody have any guides out there on what to look for in a "fried" monitor?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, KDS doesn't have much info and no help on their site.
But, if it is the power supply, it'll probably cost you $50-70 to replace it. Taking it to a shop will end up costing you maybe $60-80 for them to test it and tell you what the problem is. My wife just handed me Fry's ad from the paper and they have a 19" monitor for $140.

Of course, if it is still in warranty would go to KDS first. Even if not, maybe send them an e-mail and see if they respond.

Well, I have a voltage meter to test the power supply, but I dont know how to use it (brother in-laws). Its not under warranty, and I am running out of options.
