- White MacBook @ 2ghz, 1 gig of ram, 100GB HDD
Looking for an external HDD for my MacbookHi I am looking for an externall HDD for my Macbook.
I need it for video storage.
Most of the videos right now in my internal HDD in my Macbook are in avi, mpeg4, rvbm and wmv formats.
Besides QuickTimePlayer, I use RealPlayer, Divx Player and VLC Player.
What I am looking for is an external HDD that allows me to transfer all my video files to it, as well as future video files and mp3's as well.
Any recommendations would be great.
Thx.My Avatar says it all.

Would this be sufficient?
Like I said I need space. Lots of it.
And something that will recognize all my data in my internal HDD without any hassle. My Avatar says it all.

Amazon has the 500GB Pro version for $235. It adds FireWire 800, and a 3-year warranty over the Premium version. The case is silver like the Mac Pro.

I just got a WD My Book Pro 500g, 2-3 weeks ago, and love it. That, plus Superduper is a very great and easy setup for backups and such.
When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my Grandfather did; not screaming like all the passnegers in his car.

I don't know how much space you're looking for exactly but I've been looking at this LaCie for awhile - it's pretty tempting. http://www.buy.com/prod/lacie-160gb-...ml#prodInfoSec
