I just picked up a USB 2.0 2GB sandisk mini cruzer. I transfered a 900mb file and it took 3-4 minutes...I tried transferring the file to a USB 2.0 external hard drive I have and it took around 1 minute. Both are USB 2.0 and were plugged into the same port and the same file was transfered....

Any idea as to why these 2 devices have different transfer times? I thought solid state memory was supposed to be quick compared to a hard drive...
QUOTE Thanks
