I am using a "StarTech.com DVI-I Female to VGA Male Adapter" to connect my "30-inch Cinema HD" with a "Kworld 1600 LCD TV BOX" and I cannot get any picture on the display. I connected the display directly to a Mac Mini and it worked perfectly. Does any know of a Female DVI to Male VGA adapter that would work? Or have any insight on what I may be doing wrong?

The output from that TV Box thing is analog, the 30in LCD requires a digital signal. A DVI-I plug is a outputs an analog and a digital signal. That adapter you have it only good for taping into the analog part of that and converting it to VGA.
In order to get the analog signal from the TV box to a digital only panel you will need a converter box, which runs about $200-$300. Even then I don't know if it will work with a 30in Cinema because of its high resolution. |
