i found this good deal on an external drive since i am looking to upgrade the 60gig drive that came with my macbook. can anyone tell me if this is a good choice?

Looks good to me. Format it to HFS+ if you plan on using it only on the Mac, FAT32 if you'd like to share it with a Windows computer.

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.

Im a fan of building my own externals, i just put together a 300GB USB2/Firewire 400 drive for about 160.

I got Lacie 60gb for 60 bucks off ebay a lttle while back. It is like 1/2in wider and 1 1/2in longer than a full-size ipod and just about as thick. It is so small I can actually port it around with my computer. Then of course I have my 30gb ipod that I use for storage too, and then my 2gb flash drive.

So I would look for one a little smaller on ebay or something. Never had a problem with my lacie.
