    Mighty Mouse jumping around
    Tried different surfaces and mousepads, same old.

    i think this happens with any optical mouse

    Macbook, iMac G5, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod (MANY)!
    Check the underneath for dust on the optical part or any other particles that might have made their way in there.

    Can't see any obvious particles on the optical, but I wouldn't know. It's kind of excruciating looking at the optical

    17" iMac G5- 1.8Ghz - 1GB of Ram - AND - 17" Intel Core 2 Duo iMac - 2Ghz - 1GB of Ram
    I have a logitec Mouse I purchased and it does that very same thing. It's so annoying. I guess EVERY optical mouse has that same issue. That's the only thing I hate about opticle mice, ANY particle, even the smallest ones that we cannot see with the naked eye can make the pointer skip all over the screen. I can tell you that a White or mirrored surface work the best though.
