Does anyone know how to hook up the ADC F-22 as a second monitor for an intel Imac A1224 without spending $189?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

If you are referring to an Apple Direct Connect (ADC) for the monitor the answer is no. ADC carried the power, DVI signal and USB all in the one cable and was very popular back in the G4 and G5 days to use with Studio Displays.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

If the solution you found costs $189. You would be MUCH better off using the same $189 (or a lot less)and buying a nice-modern 22"-24" monitor.

My apologies to all. I wear very thick glasses and I misread the monitor brand. It is AOC F-22 monitor to Intel Imac A1224

22" - F22 - Monitors - AOC - North America: U.S.

Says it's DVI.

Van above showed how to connect that. You just need an adapter that will cost maybe $25 at most. Amazon might have them cheaper.

I'm curious as to what cable you're looking at that costs $189...
