logitech rumble pad 2, not working accurately

Hi, i recently bought logitech rumblepad 2. used it to play quake 3 arena on mac platform, issue is, its joy pad and controller settings always change when i restart game or even level is changed. and its vibrator although on, never worked. any solution to that ?
