Hi, I'm upgradng the HDD on my mid-2010 Macbook Pro (going from 500G to 1-terabyte) and the HGST Travelstar 7K1000 was highly recommended to me. Does anyone have thoughts/comments/reviews on this drive? Thanks.

Very nice drives. I have 4 of these 1TB drives in my NAS (upgraded from Seagate 750GBs) and they are working great.

Travelstar are okay but like all hard drives you pay your buck and takes your chance. See if you can find a three/five year warranty.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
