Time Capsule, check if external drive is being backed up
I have an external drive hooked up to my Macbook air, and have Time Machine doing backups to Time Capsule. How can I verify that the external drive is indeed being backed up? I have some important data on this external drive and want to be double sure that it is indeed being backed up.

By default, external disks are not backed up

From the menu bat select the time machine icon and select Time Machine preferences

Click on options and the external disks should be on the excluded items

Deselect the external disk you want to be included in the time machine backups
