I currently own an 14' iBook G4 with a 60GB HD aswell as an 80GB LaCie Porsche Series External HD. My question is how do you people use your external HD? Do you use it solely for backup purposes? For music/video storage? Use it to install some programs? If so, how succesfull are you doing so?

Thanks in advanced for your replies.

I use mine for my FCP project files and capture scratch when i am at school so that i can bring what I am working on home..
I also use it to keep images and audio files that will make it into my videos at some point.. so I mainly use it for video use.

1) Projects between computers.

2) Movie/ Video storage.

3) I haven't yet, but I'm trying to figure out how to install FCS on an etxternal.

I'd use Windows... but I like the Mac OS more.
