Why on earth ask here? This site has no connection to Apple.

Ask Apple.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

In that "1 week" timeframe…are you including the previous weekend + the Labor Day holiday on Monday?

Many folks that work a Monday-Friday schedule…usually don't like working on weekends & holiday's. And many business's specify "business days"…which ONLY means they only operate Monday- Friday (not sure if Apple Repair centers work this way).

So if this computer was taken to an Apple Store Last Friday or so…maybe the Apple Repair Center didn't actually receive the computer until September 4th (Tuesday)…just like the tracking info you posted said.
