I'm struggling with the settings for scan-to-email on my new Canon MF8380Cdw printer.
When my @me account smtp settings I'm able to scan and have the printer send me emails with the scanned documents as a pdf file. This however only works, if the address the printer sends the scanned file to is my @me email address. When I want to send with the same email settings to my @gmail account - I'm getting error #806.
I tried to use my gmail smtp credentials to no avail.

Anybody successful in this?

QUOTE Thanks

OK, I'm one step further:
I had to set the correct port for the SMTP server: 587 instead the default value in the printer (was 25).

Next problem:
- scans (PDF's) are being received as PDF file on my *.me address but as a text file on my gmail account.

Anybody with a hint for this?
QUOTE Thanks
