Hello,
Right this might be a really dumb newby question but, I bought a mini display to DVI adapter for my iMac. I want to convert the DVI to VGA since I don't have any DVI monitors. When I connect the mini display to my Macbook nothing happens, no extra display is added or anything. These are some photos of the cable and the adapter. ![]() ![]() So if anyone could please explain to me why this isn't working I will be very happy, or if someone could please give me a way of achieving this I will be very very grateful. Cheers Mark. |

You can't convert the adapter. You need to buy another adapter - this time one which is MDP to VGA. Apple adapters are expensive, try HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more! instead.
