I'm planning to get an external HD tomorrow, 500GB. I was curious about how I should take care of it. I've heard one of the worst things I can do is move the thing once it's in operation... Is this true?

As for brands, I was looking at this one here:
ClickFree C6 500GB Total External/Portable Backup Hard Drive | Drives & Storage | Ratings & Reviews | TheSource.ca

I think it's down to about $120 now, on sale.
QUOTE Thanks

I have a couple of these
Amazon.com: Seagate Expansion 500 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive ST905004EXA101-RK: Electronics
Current price at Amazon is $80 USD

I also have several FW External Drives but they are more pricey.

I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .
QUOTE Thanks
