So I've been having problems with my macbook pro..it won't boot and stays on the apple logo screen. I took it into Apple and they said it's my hard drive and it needs a replacement.
I'm currently a web design & new media student so I'm always running a lot of Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and After Effects mostly). What hard drive would you recommend? I've been doing some research and I think Western Digital would be best. Now I can't decide between one the 500GB with 7200 RPM, one with 750GB with 5400 RPM, or one with 750 GB with 7200 RPM. Also, do you think upgrading to 8gb ram would be better for a web design student like me? Thank you! |

Have you considered installing an SSD? They're getting cheaper everyday...
Definitely get some RAM if you're in design. Got mine at macmodify.com $65 or so for 8gb. see if the code they sent me still works "M.Beylin15" got me a discount. |
