I ordered a Sony VAIO(i3 4BG Ram) laptop last month. In order to update RAM, i ordered a 4GB ram for a little less than $50(New year offer). I got the product last week & d laptop looks good. But the extra RAM i ordered, they have sent me a 4 GB Mac Ram. Is it okie to place a MAC Ram in Sony VAIO? Will it work?

Almost no way of guessing...since you neither told us what exact model Macintosh you have or what exact model Sony VAIO you have.
