So i am a PC and Macbook Air user . and what i really want is a new imac 27" however thats not going to happen anytime soon. Far out of my budget , However through work i can get a Payment plan on one of the Current new Cinema displays the 27" one to be precise ( Apple LED Cinema Display (27" flat panel) - Apple Store (Canada) )

So to the point , i have a PC , rather high end gaming PC . It has two 5850's in it and it has displayport. Now the Display has Mini Display port... can someone 110% confirm that if i found a adaptor to got Mini DP to Regular DP , that i in fact can get it to work , and not just work , but get the full resolution out of it.

I have read tid bits everywhere that it is possible but no 100% confirmations.

I am after the higher res and i can;t seem to get any of the other ones avaliable on the market through work. so this i what i am working with.

So to clarify :

Needs 100% to work with PC through Display Port OR HDMI

Must have full resolution. ( 2560 by 1440)

I do not care about USB functionality.... although would be cool.

Thanks in advance

PS i did search the forums but could not find a concrete answer.

Just thought i would Post i did find a Solution that so far seems like it can do the trick.

Atlona Technologies connectivity solutions, cables, splitters, extenders, distribution amplifiers, converters, switchers for commercial, professional and industrial applications

So far all reviews and comments say this works , even gives full functionality of all the display can offer.

If anyone else was looking for this answer , this seems to be it.
QUOTE Thanks
