air port extreme

I am resurrecting a 2005 g5 for a specific purpose. It never had an air port card in it. I installed an extreme card. The card works when i play with the setting but when i boot up the g5, every time, it does not see the router. it is roughly 25' from the router, straight line with one door between them. I have two other macs that run fine from further distances. Any ideas why the g5 looses its settings and cannot locate the router after boot up.

Thanks for the Powermac G5 info. I'm going to bet that you don't have one of these:



...this is the external antenna made for the Powermac G5's due to poor Airport WiFi reception.
