Printer= Brother MFC 7340

Help, I have a imac that will print the test page but I cannot print from any application, I believe this happened after the most recent OS upgrade. I have found some advise on the internet on what to do but there were many different fixes.
OS =10.6.8
Printer= Brother MFC 7340
any advise would be appriciated.

Hey, never mind, all I did was delete the printer and add it back.
I can now print!
