Studio Display Question

I just got a new G5 and am trying to plug my older 15 and 17 inch studio displays into the ADC connector. Each time the computer won't power on when the monotirs are attached, but when I try a third part monitor, it works fine in the DVI input. Thanks very much!

Aren't the older studio displays analog? You may need a digital to analog adapter (DVI to ADC adapter).

The G5 has an ADC port which lets me plug in the ADC monitor. So are you saying that the moniter needs to be plugged into a DVI port in order to work, regardless of if the G5's ADC and monitor ADC plug "fit"?

I believe the ports are digital, your studio display monitors are analog. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway look at this, maybe this is what you need.
