Hello,
I am wanting to setup a JBOD RAID combining my 160 gb startup disk with another 500 gb internal drive. I am using this guide - Create a JBOD RAID Set: Use Disk Utility to Create JBOD RAID Set for Your Mac as a walkthrough. My only problem is once I start erasing my startup drive, won't it erase the entire operating system? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Edit: After investigating, I have learned you cannot erase the startup disk unless you boot from the OS X cd and use the included disk utility. I will try doing the RAID procedure using this method instead. Last edited by dylaninthehat; 08-11-2011 at 03:44 AM. |
