Using printers with Macs

Hi,

I have a Xerox laser printer attached to my Buffalo NAS. I want to use this with my powerbook, but when ever I add the printer (Using Generic) it appears not too print and comes up with a message about NT-LOGON-FAILED????

What am I doing wrong? Is it just possible that the printer will not work with a Mac????

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Richard
