Recently switched to Apple in Feb2011, imac to be exact. I have an older Sony Digital Video Camera. Prior to my mac I used a PC and had no issues connecting my camera to my PC using USB, but with the imac I have an issue, there is no supported USB driver. I also have a DV out (IEEE1394) on the camera, can anyone tell me if I can make that work with the firewire 800 port on the imac? I checked and the cables are available but will they communicate? I am using Adobe Premiere elements as my video editing software. That was a carry over from my PC days.
